A Family run Farm
The McBride family have farmed Watertop since our ancestors moved here from nearby Fairhead in the early 1900s.
In days gone by we used to be a traditional mixed farm, milking cows by hand and keeping cattle and sheep.
Back in the 1970’s Patsy began diversifying the farm, first opening our gates as a pony trekking centre and over time transforming into the first Open Farm in Ireland.
The pandemic changed so much for so many, and after over 30 years we ceased operating as an activity centre in 2020

Perfect location to Explore the North Coast & Glens
Watertop is ideally located for sightseeing, if you’ve had your fill of the stunning views here that is!
We’re just 5-10 minutes from Ballycastle and Cushendall. 30 minutes further afield is Glenarriff Forest park, known as the queen of the Glens and famous for it’s impressive waterfalls (still think ours is better though!)

Tranquility and Peace
You’ll be pitching up in the spacious family friendly camping field or hooking up to your fully serviced pitch before setting off to explore the farm. Maybe after introductions to your woolly neighbours squeeze in a quick round of crazy golf before a tasty BBQ at your pitch (uninvited sheepdog may make an appearance at this point). Stretch those legs for a sunset walk by the river or disappear further uphill for some real peace and quiet. Finally enjoy a bit of craic around the cottage museum fire before heading back to admire endless stars before bed.
Perfect.
